The video game invites users to experiment and figure things out for themselves.I Am Dead is a charming puzzle adventure game from the creators of Hohokum and Wilmot’s Warehouse about exploring the afterlife. It also doesn’t tell you how to solve puzzles with such a limited number of actions. It is not explained to the players which elements are interactive. To activate an interactive object, you must fly over it or rotate with it. The flying hero cannot directly interact with the environment. The one-eyed creature travels 17 dimensions in search of its kin. Users can turn left and right, speed up and slow down. Hohokum allows players to control a snake-like creature called the Long Mover. The computer version can hardly be distinguished from the original. Many years later, developers ported it to PC. The product was originally exclusive to the console. It’s about exploring two-dimensional worlds, interacting with characters, and solving puzzles. The game offers users the opportunity to regulate everything themselves. Each stage can be completed with a conditional 100%. But there are vague level requirements and hidden side activities. It has no system of tasks and rewards, no leveling, no timer. What sets it apart from other video games is gameplay for gameplay’s sake. The title can be classified as an action and puzzle game. It is characterized by its drawn graphics, for which the artist Richard Hogg is responsible. Hohokum is an experimental art house project.
